Kelly is enjoying her new experiences in northern VA.  She has attended numerous equine activities, as the area is saturated with opportunities and she is learning alot.  She enjoys studying under Stephanie and is learning to work a horse in hand.  Kelly recently got a job as a groom for Jim Moore of Prestige Training, who rides with Karen O'Connor, in exchange for jumping instruction.  After the shock of the move, Dresden and Presley have settled in nicely.  Kelly finds time to ride them daily.

Gabby, our barn manager, has had the opportunity to get to know most of our riders.  She has a good grasp on the ebb and flow of the barn and she's especially observant and vigilant in keeping up the horses health and well being as well as all other horse related issues. Gabby has been riding since she was seven, first in 4-H, then the Hunter Ring, Pony Club, and now competing in eventing.  She is an active competitor in Area 1, where she has competed at the Novice, Training, and Preliminary levels.  In 2004 Gabby and her horse, Midnight, were the Area 1 Training Level Adult Amateur Rider and ranked 7th with the USEA.  Gabby has run her own barn, "Sagittarius Stables".  She specialized in finding and developing talented, safe and affordable horses for the young rider and amateur adult.  She owes much of her success to working and training with Jane Hamlin, Pam Goodrich, Lucinda Green, Kim Severson, and David O'Connor.  We are so lucky to have her here at Windswept.

New footing and fencing will be added to the new outdoor arena this season so it will be fully functional.
